First batch · Oahu, Hawaii

Raw honey, slow as a honu.

We're a small hobby apiary on Oahu. Our very first harvest is bottled and ready — every jar sold keeps our hives humming and spreads the word about what bees do for these islands.

Our story

It started with a visit to a bee farm.

This hobby began at Hānai Hives, an Oahu bee farm where we first suited up and met the bees up close. One visit turned into a backyard apiary of our own — and now, our first harvest.

The name Honu comes up again and again for us. Like the Hawaiian green sea turtle, we believe in moving slowly, taking only what the bees can spare, and giving back to the place that feeds us.

Selling this first batch funds more hives, more flowers, and more conversations about why bees matter to Hawaii.

The honey

From frame to jar, nothing added.

We pull frames by hand, spin them gently, and bottle the honey raw and unfiltered. What the bees gathered from Oahu's blossoms is exactly what you taste.

Raw & unfiltered

Never heated, never fine-filtered. Pollen, enzymes, and flavor stay in the jar.

Single origin

Every jar comes from our own hives on Oahu — one place, one season, one batch.

Bee-first

We harvest only the surplus. The bees keep what they need to stay strong.

Why bees

Bees keep Hawaii blooming.

A third of what we eat exists because of pollinators. On the islands, honeybees work the blossoms of backyard mango, citrus, coffee, and native plants — quietly holding together gardens, farms, and forests.

Every jar of Honu Honey funds more hive care and more chances to show neighbors what the bees are doing — and how much depends on them.
